Well this sux

The university I attend at the moment turned down my financial aid because I am not enrolled in at least 5 hours. I have 4..sux.. I went to the College of Education and talked with the Ass. Dean and she said sorry--she cannot add the one hour class that I needed to obtain my five hours and then I would receive financial aid..
I already had a professor lined up to help me with the class--Independent Study..

Unreal to say the least, now I am in dire need of almost 900 ..this is also my last semester --i become fully certified in December...

Anyone out there ?? 900 bux ? I will pay you back ASAP? Obama?? Where are you?
I joke but I have to cause if not--will stress and have family upset as well..Stay Calm

The former Mr. Kardashian gives back Heisman..

Another topic, an issue for many that has both viewpoints vehemently being defended by the supporters of Reggie and those who are against him.
First athletes get scholarships--let us just talk about football.( Baseball, golf, track and field give partial scholarships--another topic)
The athletes get free tuition, room and board plus books. Alabama can cost as much as 25 thousand for those out of staters
You hear Barkley talking smack about how he got paid while attending Auburn

"If a guy wants to borrow money from an agent because he's poor, what is wrong with that?" Barkley said. "Nobody can tell me what is wrong with that. I got money from agents when I was in college and I went in the '80s. Most of the players I know borrowed money from agents. The colleges don't give us anything. If they give us a pair of sneakers, they get in trouble. Why can't an agent lend me some money and I'll pay him back when I graduate?"

He makes a point but for the wrong reasons. He is making it a racial issue as usual.
Even if you disagree with the NCAA's by-laws on student-athletes receiving money from an agent, it is a rule and must be followed.
I think that the NCAA should give football players between three and five hundred dollars a month for spending. Teach them how to save, open savings account, put in cd/savings bonds--NCAA can fork up the money to hire someone to teach these young men about finances.
Becoming a self-sufficient, responsible young man can only magnify their profile as well as enhance the NCAA's and university's image.

I WANT MY SAINTS BACK!

This is a tough one to write and explain but I want my Saints back! Don't get me wrong, one of the happiest days of my life is when the Saints won the  Super Bowl. Special moment for sure. The moment was suppose to be celebrated, in my humble opinion, by those loyal to the Saints who supported the team through thick
and thin, through 1-15 seasons to 13-3 seasons..
Those that just like the Saints, or any team, just b/c they are "winners" are not true fans. The fans that jump on this bandwagon, we true fans should have distaste for. You know who they are--they are the ones who bash them throughout the years. Critiques of the failures are justified but not the bashing. I think Saints fans (Before we won the Super Bowl) can correlate with Chicago Cubs fans. Many fans love the "Lovable Losers". I am not educated of the staunch support that the Cubs' receive, but I would guess they have their share of fair weather fans. What would happen if the Cubs win the World Series? No more lovable losers?
I didn't mind that with the Saints. We were not getting national coverage throughout the years because our teams were inept. The team was ours--New Orleans folk.
Don't get me wrong on this issue because of the Super Bowl victory--The city has garnered national and worldwide attention which gives us a vast medium to help solve our problems. (Katrina, Education).
I suppose I (and others) will have to continuously put up with these "bandwagoneers" for a long time now. My top Saints moments--1983 Mike Lansford Kicked the winning FG to knock Saints out of playoffs which I was in attendance; Saints 1987 season which I had season tickets and went to every game including their first playoff game; "Hakim Drops the Ball" in 2000, Saints Superdome victory in 2006, 2009 Season. (not in order but the 87 season I will put at the top) The Saints are darn good and I am happy for that, but damn I miss the "wait until next year" Saints. That's a part of my life that many of us grew up with we got use to it but for me--it is hard to let go.
"Todd is God"! Bring back Dave Wilson!
